Meet and greet at Toronto airport. Transfer to your hotel
Monday
Tour of the city, including City Hall, Queen’s Park, Yorkville with its chic boutiques and restaurants, the financial district, Chinatown, the Latin quarter. Pass by the CN Tower, Ontario Place, Exhibition Park, etc. Continue on to the world-famous Niagara Falls. Out tour takes us past the picturesque town of Niagara on the Lake, the Floral Clock, Spanish Aerocar, and the American and Horseshoe Falls. Your tour includes a ride on the Maid of the Mist (May to October) or the Journey Behind the Falls tunnels (November to April). Return to Toronto.
Tuesday
Early departure along the shore of Lake Ontario towards Thousand Islands. Enjoy a one-hour cruise on the St. Lawrence River (May to October). Arrive at Ottawa, the National Capital, in the afternoon. City tour upon arrival, taking the beautiful tulip gardens and residential areas, including the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General.
Wednesday
Morning visit to the gardens of the Parliament to see the wonderful Changing of the Guard ceremony (June 24 to August 26). Depart for Quebec City, the only walled city on the continent. This afternoon we take a walking tour of the old city, including the Plains of Abraham, Dufferin Terrace, the Place Royale, the Latin Quarter, Avenue of the Treasury, and the beautiful Chateau Frontenac.
Thursday
Free day in Quebec City to take an optional tour: 1) Tadoussac, including
a 3 hour whale-watching cruise where the whales gather in the
St. Lawrence River. 2) Santa Ana Canyon with its hanging rope
bridges, and natural beauty. Includes a stop at Santa Anna de
Beaupre.
Friday
Morning departure for Montreal. The largest French-speaking city in the hemisphere. Upon arrival, we pass by the Olympic Stadium with its famous incline tower, the Olympic village, the velodrome, all built for the 1976 Olympics. Continue on the the Mount Royal scenic outlook, St. Joseph’s Oratory, elegant residential areas, and Old Montreal with the beautiful Basilica of Notre Dame.
Saturday
Free day in Montreal. Optional boat ride on the St. Lawrence River (May
to October).
Sunday
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. |
